WAA Hosts 3rd Annual Food Drive to Support the Aurora Community
The holiday season is a time for giving, coming together, and supporting those around us. This year, Wheatland Athletic Association (WAA) is proud to partner with the Aurora Interfaith Food Pantry for our 3rd Annual Food Drive!
As an organization rooted in our community, we believe in making a positive difference both on and off the field. Through this annual food drive, we're inviting our WAA families, athletes, coaches, and community members to come together to help provide essential food items to local individuals and families in need.
Every donation, big or small, makes a difference!
Help Us Reach Our Goal
Food Drive Dates: November 2-30, 2026
WAA will be collecting nonperishable food donations at both the WAA Sports Center and Baseball/Softball Training Center throughout the food drive.
We're also excited to announce that WAA will match up to $1,000 in donations! Your generosity will go even further in helping support local families this holiday season.
Most Needed Food Items
The Aurora Interfaith Food Pantry welcomes a variety of nonperishable food donations. Some of their most-needed items include:
Fruits & Vegetables
- Canned or dried fruit and vegetables
- Pasta sauces
- Jelly
Proteins
- Canned tuna, chicken, and other meats
- Dried or canned beans
- Nuts and peanut butter
Grains
- Rice and pasta
- Breakfast cereal
- Oatmeal
Ready-to-Make Meals
- Soups
- Pancake and baking mixes
- Macaroni and cheese
- Chili
Pantry Staples
- Cooking oil
- Condiments
- Spices and seasonings
- Broth

Prefer to make a monetary donation? You can contribute online to help the Aurora Interfaith Food Pantry provide essential resources to local families.
When making your donation, please select "Wheatland Athletic Association" as the Food Drive Name so your contribution is counted toward our food drive!
